Murals feature healthy community bonds

The Strong People, Strong Communities project partnered Northern youth artists with professional artists to collaborate to co‐create large scale murals. Kicking off in August 2020, the murals were created in July 2021 and unveiled during the Mural Festival August 10‐14, 2021, in Yellowknife, NWT. 

Themes for the murals included: strong, healthy women; strong, healthy men; honouring our LGBTQ2S+ community and other Indigenous ways of being; healthy, strong babies and youth; strong, healthy Elders; and strong, healthy families and communities.
